Gardener's Notes: Start seed indoors 4 weeks before the last spring frost or sow directly outdoors after the last frost. Grow in fertile, well-drained soil. Sow 5-6 seeds in a 12 inch circle. Thin to 4 plants. Keep well-watered when flowers and fruit appear. Harvest by cutting the stem with shears or knife when they reach 7-8 inches long. Keep ripe fruit picked to encourage production throughout the season.
