Gardener's Notes: In spring, sow seed directly in the garden in light, well-drained soil in full sun. Sprinkle seeds about 3-4 inch and cover very lightly. Be sure to keep soil evenly moist during germination. Thin young seedings carefully to 2 inches apart. Sow more seed two weeks later for continuous harvest. In mild climates, plant again in late summer for second crop.
