Are Fungus Gnat Flies attacking your plants?

The little black bugs that look like small black flies can be quite annoying - try following these steps to get rid of them!!

  • .First off, keep the watering down. These little fellas love the moist soil. Let the top inch or two of your soil dry out before watering again and see if that makes a difference.

  • If you have a really bad issue with Fungus Gnat Flies, and notice that they have infested all your plants, then you will want to get yourself some Diatomaceous Earth. Sprinkle it on top of the dry soil working it in a bit. The Diatomaceous Earth acts like glass and will cut up the larvae (harmless to humans).

  • Next, place some sticky sheet traps in your pot, making sure the bottom of the sheet touches the soil.

  • After that, have a nap and let the Diatomaceous Earth and the traps do their thing!

This should take care of your Fungus Gnat Flies!
